Re: MailserverX Max TQL Warning in Score report?

There are three types of potential warnings in the VMmark score file.

Mailserver Exceptions: Indicates the number of failed Exchange operations during the run.

Mailserver Max TQL: Task Queue Length increases when LoadGen, Microsoft's Exchange load generator, has a backlog of waiting Exchange requests, indicating the mailserver can't meet the requested load. If this number climbs greater than 1500, LoadGen is designed to automatically shut down. The VMmark warning indicates the maximum sampled Task Queue Length during the run.

Olio Failures: Indicates the number of failed Olio operations during the run.

Warnings are intended to give insight in to the functioning of the benchmark. Mailserver Max TQL or a small number of Olio failures may indicate that your environment is encountering stress. Mailserver Exceptions, Max TQL > 1500, or a large number of Olio failures may indicate functional failures of the Mailserver or Olio workloads.

Normally functioning VMmark runs should show Max TQL of 0 or very small (less than 10). Max TQL in the hundreds probably indicates resource contention affecting the Mailserver VM.
