Doing some research on this issue, I found in the VMWare Knowledge Base (VMware KB: Windows device manager shows yellow bang for VMCI device ) that it says: "This probably indicates that the VMware VMCI Bus device driver is missing. The incomplete VMCI device might be displayed in the Other Devices section of Device Manager as the Base System Device, a generic Windows name." This is exactly what I am getting. I don't think that I want to install the VMWare Tools on my reference machine, do i? Can I disable the device in Device Manager, or just ignore it? Thank you.
